Health Information Week - Journal article request service for NHS staff

Did you know that you can request journal articles to support your patient care, medical education and professional development?

UCL Library has access to thousands of scientific and healthcare journals covering a wide range of medical specialties and research fields. In addition to your access to online journals via OpenAthens, GOSH Library members can also access papers from journals which UCL has subscriptions to, these include major journal publications such as New England Journal of Medicine, Nature, JAMA Pediatrics, Lancet Paediatrics Child and Adolescent Health, and more

Requesting a journal article from UCL Library is easy! GOSH Library members can request journal articles from the library by first checking the UCL library catalogue Explore and if available, fill out the e-resource request formand we will email an electronic copy to you.

If you would prefer to visit the library to browse our e-resources, you are welcome to as we have five dedicated computers for NHS staff, as well as seven GOSH-networked PCs in the Library (no printing though). Just remember to bring a USB thumb drive with you so that you can save journal articles and take them away with you.

You ae welcome to ask staff for help with using the Explore the UCL library catalogue to search for journal articles. For more complex searches for a literature or systematic review, you can request one to one support with a training Librarian by filling out the form here to request an appointment.

If you have any questions about how to request a paper, or, you are not sure if UCL subscribes to a journal that you need, please contact the library: telephone 020 790
52740, email ich.library@ucl.ac.uk.
