Remote access to UCL e-resources by GOSH staff

Remote access to UCL electronic resources by GOSH staff is possible if you have (or are entitled to) a UCL honorary contract. All GOSH Consultants are entitled to a UCL honorary contract and we have posted further guidance on this here.

GOSH staff who either don’t want or cannot get an honorary contract can access all the UCL electronic resources from the Library as we have five computers where people can access all the UCL paid resources

The reason for these procedures is that the access to UCL  electronic resources is determined by the legally binding contracts that UCL, as a University, signs when entering into an agreement with a publisher or provider. Most UCL contracts have educational arrangements, agreed on a national basis with such bodies as Eduserv Chest and JISC. Further information on this is posted on the UCL Library Services webpages at https://www.ucl.ac.uk/library/electronic-resources
