For all UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health, or UCL Institute for Global Health teaching staff:

ReadingLists@UCL is a service that can be used to create an online reading list for your 2017-2018 modules. More information can be found at: https://www.ucl.ac.uk/library/teaching-support/reading-lists.

You will have complete control of your list, which is quick and easy to populate and update; lists can be updated instantly from wherever you are. Once the reading list has been set up, a link to the list can be quickly activated within your Moodle module. Library staff can provide initial support or training and, depending on staff availability, may be available to populate your initial list for you. Please contact us if you would like us to set up a list for your module.

As well as linking to electronic journal articles, the library can also purchase books, digitise book chapters for inclusion in reading lists, or can include links to video clips.

If you already have a reading list for your module and would like library staff to review it, or purchase any new books for the list, please let us know.

Library Out of Hours Access is back!

We are pleased to announce that we have reintroduced out of hours access to the library to GOS ICH staff and GOSH library members. The library will be open to those granted access at the following times: Monday - Friday: 6:00pm - 10:45pm Saturday and Sunday: 9:00pm - 9:00pm You will need to contact us if you are interested in access so that we can arrange a time for you to come to visit the library and have a fire evacuation induction and familiarisation tour. UCL Staff and Students ID cards

We would like to remind UCL staff and students (including hospital staff with honorary UCL contracts) of the importance of picking up their UCL ID card:  http://www.ucl.ac.uk/estates/security/systems/identity-cards/ . This card is  different  from the ICH ID card,  which is only of use at the ICH . The UCL card is recognised throughout UCL.    Without it staff and students will not be able to access many library services and will not be able to gain entry to many UCL buildings including  libraries . Staff and students need the card to: borrow books and other materials, to request inter-library loans and to request items which are out on loan.    Without this card they will not be able to use  printing, scanning and photocopying facilities  at UCL libraries, including at our library. Free e-journal access for UCL Alumni

In  partnership with UCL Library Services, the Development and Alumni Relations Office can now offer UCL alumni free access to thousands of online academic journals. To start using the digital libraries, please click on the links below and enter your Alumni Web Community (AWC) log-in and password when prompted.  Information about the terms and conditions of use can be found online, together with the answers to frequently asked questions .
