Important! – change to PubMed NCBI accounts from the start of June.

After 1st June you will no longer be able to use an NCBI account to log into PubMed. If you have saved searches or other resources in PubMed, you will need to use a federated login to access your account.

An example of a federated login would be a Google account.

  • In PubMed, click on Log in.
  • Select Google Account (or you can select one of the other options, e.g. ORCiD or Facebook).
  • Sign into the account that you have selected.
  • Once you have signed in, select the option Link to an existing NCBI account.
  • Enter your NCBI username and password
  • Select Continue.

You will now be able to sign into PubMed with your Google account (or whichever alternative account you selected) and view everything that you had previously saved.
