Fairtrade Fortnight 2021

This year’s Fairtrade Fortnight focuses on the challenges posed by climate change and how they are affecting the 1.66 million farmers and workers across 1,411 producer organisations in the Fairtrade network. As well as ensuring that farmers in Global South receive a fair minimum price for their products, and basic workers’ rights, such as safe working conditions and guaranteed income, Fairtrade also works with communities to tackle problems resulting from changes in the environment caused by climate change through sustainable policies, practices and engagement.

Why not participate in this year’s online ‘Choose the world you want’ campaign by joining the Fairtrade festival which brings together schools, universities, businesses, supporters, campaigners and farmers from across the world to celebrate, share and discuss why Fairtrade matters.

You can also find Fairtrade Fortnight events at Sustainable UCL.
